Details The Pamukkale and Salda Lake tour, departing from Okurcalar, is a nature and culture tour of the beautiful Lake Salda, known as Türkiye’s Maldives, and Pamukkale, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Lake Salda, home to Türkiye’s cleanest lake, is also one of its deepest (184 meters). It is estimated that Lake Salda formed approximately 2 million years ago. The lake’s water is slightly salty and highly alkaline.
Lake Salda, nestled among the mountains and far from the main road between Burdur, Denizli, and Antalya, has preserved its natural beauty to this day. Lake Salda, a natural park, boasts a stunning combination of white sandy beaches, pine and juniper-covered forests, and clear blue skies. The white sands that make Lake Salda so alluring are reminiscent of the Maldives. This is why it’s known as the Maldives in Türkiye. You’ll also find opportunities to walk on the beach and swim in Lake Salda.
The second stop on our tour is Pamukkale, home to the world-famous calcium terraces, and the ancient city of Hierapolis. Pamukkale is approximately 320 km from Okurcalar. Its thermal waters, around 30 degrees Celsius, are said to be beneficial for certain ailments. You can swim, hike, and take stunning photos on the Pamukkale terraces.
